MEET JOHN P. COOLICAN DMD, FAGD

Dr. Coolican is a second-generation dentist and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. With a deep passion for serving the residents of Eastern Pennsylvania, he has remained committed to staying on the cutting edge of implant dentistry through continuing education in the best treatment modalities and technologies.

As a practitioner focused on dental implants, Dr. Coolican maintains an unwavering dedication to excellence. After completing a comprehensive general dental practice residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the VA Hospital System, he opened his first private practice.

His professional achievements include being a founding member and Diplomat of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, a member of the International Dental Implant Association, and holding the distinguished status of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, among many other notable affiliations.

Dr. Coolican’s expertise is unparalleled, having successfully placed nearly 10,000 Mini and One-Piece Dental Implants since 2004. He has had the privilege of training under the guidance of Dr. Todd Shatkin of Buffalo, N.Y., a renowned expert who has performed more of these surgeries than any other doctor worldwide. Dr. Coolican’s experience and expertise in this technique surpasses any other doctor in Eastern Pennsylvania and other surrounding states.
