How is a CBCT Scan Performed?
In this video, Dr. John Coolican, a renowned Wilkes-Barre, PA implant dentist, explains how our cone beam CT machine captures a complete 3D scan of your mouth, allowing us to place your implants as accurately and effectively as possible.
You will be asked to stand or sit at the unit. Your dental assistant will position you so that the area of interest is centered in the beam. You will be asked to remain very still while the Xray source and detector revolve around you for 360 degree rotation. This typically takes between 20 and 40 seconds.
